warning labels... that's all i asked!!

Okay. My Christmas present to Katie is taking her to a Brad Paisley/Terri Clark concert in January. Incase the memo hasn't been sent, I hate country music. But, I'm going, because Katie wouldn't go by herself, and it's a Christmas present. So I'm trying to get into it. Starting December 1, I'm allowing country music in my car and I'm going to burn a Brad Paisley CD just so I can get there and recognize some of the songs. See, I'm TRYING. However, I just listened to "Whiskey Lullaby" and they should put a warning label on that one because I just about bawled my face off!! It's a good thing I'm at work, or I would've bawled. That's a SAD song!! Gosh!! I was fine until the first chorus and then it just kept getting sadder and sadder...

He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger
And finally drank away her memory
Life is short but this time it was bigger
Than the strength he had to get up off his knees
We found him with his face down in the pillow
With a note that said I'll love her 'til I die
And when we buried him beneath the willow
The angels sang a whiskey lullaby.

SAD!!! But, Marce, I'm trying to get into it. I've getting closer to stopping cringing every time that twang stuff starts. It's going to be a great concert... Katie better not ever doubt I love her after this. (Not that I think she does now... but gosh. Country music.)
