Well... I slept in today. And that was beautiful. And then, since Amanda's going to school this whole day... I decided that I was going to be adventurous. How big can one city be, right? Right. So, at around lunch, I decided I was going to go see a movie. What movie? "Failure To Launch". It was really good... but I'm getting ahead of myself.
So, asking one of Amanda's roommates for bus directions, I got on a bus and headed downtown. The bus driver, helpful as he was, pointed out when we got downtown, just incase the big buildings and one-way streets and giant sign saying "DOWNTOWN" didn't give it away. And then I proceeded to get lost in the mall. Not the West Edmonton Mall... no no. This one was smaller. But, it was huge to me. 4 floors. 2 different sides, an east side and a west side separated by buildings. Much like the City Centre Mall downtown in Winnipeg, only much bigger and much more confusing. I went to see "Failure To Launch" on the 3rd floor, and then after it was over, and I had to find a bathroom quick or certain organs would burst, I had to go all the way to the Food Court on the Basement level for the bathroom because I couldn't find any other ones.
That task accomplished, (ooh and before the movie I went and bought 2 computer games), I went outside to take a bus back. Sounds simple right? WRONG. I discovered that I didn't know how to get back. Amanda had driven me to a nearby mall to catch the #1 to downtown... but if I got on the #1 where I got dropped off, I had to sit on it while it went all the way across town and then finally made the loop back through where Amanda dropped me off. And I knew that there were buses that go past Amanda's school. So, after walking around and trying to read maps for bus routes in the cold... BECAUSE IT'S SNOWING HERE... I asked a friendly bus driver, and two buses later, I was dropped off just down the street from her school. HA ZAA!! I did it! I had fun!
I have no idea what we're doing tonight, but I know that tomorrow we're going to the West Edmonton Mall and riding roller coasters and shopping and all that awesome stuff!! Have fun guys, in your weather... because I think it's about the same here.
PS> I will add pictures to all of this eventually when I get home... but for right now, you can just hear the stories!
